Our kitchen manager will report to our executive chef. Here’s a run-down of the responsibilities of the position:
Management & Leadership
Model our core values and bring attention to team members who demonstrate our core values.
Help create a culture where we put our team members first and where they know we truly care about their well-being.
Lead our hiring process.
Lead our on-boarding process. Set new team members up for success.
Work closely with all kitchen team members and provide positive and constructive feedback daily.
Build relationships with our team members with one-on-one meetings.
Manage our team schedule.
Manage our labor cost relative to sales with our executive chef.
Hold regular meetings with our team to teach, communicate what’s going on, and listen to new ideas, concerns, and frustrations.
Systems and Kitchen Setup
Implement systems and checklists to ensure we’re following ServSafe and Good Manufacturing Practices.
On a daily basis, educate and provide feedback to our team members about food safety.
Implement and manage cleaning and maintenance schedules for facility, equipment, and supplies.
Train our team to safely operate all kitchen equipment and tools.
Day to Day
This is a working chef position and you’ll actively work on prep and building dishes along side our kitchen team members.
Continuing Education
Stay current in industry literature, read books and periodicals, and seek out other forms of inspiration that will help you grow personally and professionally.
